Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training Course

A practical one day inter-active Six Sigma Yellow Belt training course, which explains the concepts of Six Sigma, and the 5 key inputs and outputs of the 5 DMAIC phases.

What will you learn?

At the conclusion of the Six Sigma Yellow Belt training course each delegate will be able to:

  • Understand the history and development behind the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology
  • Understand the fundamental concepts behind Six Sigma
  • Document business processes in the form of Process Maps
  • Analyse processes for Quick Win opportunities and Value Added / Non-Value Added process steps
  • Select the relevant process performance metrics on processes and plan data collection through Measurement Planning
  • Analyse basic process performance data for performance trends and “Special” causes of variation
  • Apply some fundamental 6 Sigma tools and techniques within their own working environment to identify root causes and develop solution proposals for improvement

Course Content

The training course covers the following topics:

  • Six Sigma concepts – from right first time to continuous improvement
  • The 5 DMAIC phases and the key outputs from each phase
  • Team-working – do’s and don’ts for effective teams
  • Understanding and validating the customer’s needs (Critical Customer Requirements)
  • Data collection – the cost of collecting data
  • Analysis of data for performance trends – data driven decision making
  • How the principles, concepts and tools can be applied to any process
  • Understanding root causes of problems
  • Developing solutions that meet the needs of the Customer and the Business
  • Performance measurement – how to prove that an improvement has taken place

The Six Sigma Yellow Belt training course is limited to a maximum of 12 delegates. Cost: £295 plus vat per delegate. Course costs cover the training session, a comprehensive set of course notes, lunch, refreshments, an attendance certificate and an Aster Training Yellow Belt.
